Plane Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield

A plane ferrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the plane's windshield, per an official statement which stated that all passengers were secure.

"The plane touched down based on standard procedures and everyone onboard, including Secretary Hegseth, is safe," an official representative stated in a public statement.

The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to the city of Brussels during the flight.

This incident isn't the initial instance that a US military aircraft ferrying a high-ranking official has experienced technical problems.

Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was forced to return to the US capital after encountering a mechanical problem.
